Happiness as Eudaimonia
In this breakout session we'll review all the discussion questions assigned for this week, focusing in particular on Aristotle's arguments against identifying the good life with the life of pleasure, the life of politics/honor, and the life of wealth.

- Consider further Aristotle’s denial that happiness as eudaimonia consists in a life of pleasure, a life of politics/honor, and a life of wealth
- Spend time doing a close reading of NE I.5, where the term “virtue” first appears in the Nicomachean Ethics
Before Class
- Be familiar with the reading from chapters 1–7 of Book I of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics in Perusall
- Come prepared to section to talk about all of the questions assigned for discussion this week.
