Dialogue Facilitators

Maddy Barket
Senior Dialogue Facilitator
Maddy is a senior and Philosophy major, with a relatively newfound interest in Sociology (shoutout to Professor Autry). She’s always had a love for fashion and writing, and has a weird talent for spotting groundhogs around campus. She’s looking forward to another year with the beloved DF squad!

Ethan ParkSenior Dialogue Facilitator
Ethan is a senior majoring in American Studies with a minor in African American Studies. He is interested in Eastern thought traditions (Daoism rocks!), and the ways in which forces of heritage, history, and philosophy intersect in our day-to-day lives. Outside of the classroom, Ethan tries to keep up with various interests—writing, playing music, and touching grass whenever he can.

Michael Carpenter
Michael is a senior majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Economics. He grew up in California and Colorado, and outside of the classroom he loves to write, or get outside to hike, play some ultimate, and go running.
Leads Dialogue Sessions for Section 5

Katie Estep
Katie is a junior at Wesleyan. She is from Maryland and is majoring in Mathematics and Philosophy, with a minor in Environmental Studies. Outside of class you can find her sitting on Foss, at the gokart tracks, or sailing on Lake Pocotopaug.

Jordan Frederick
Jordan is a sophomore planning to major in Film and Government. He's a proud New Yorker (which is, of course, an extremely original trait). He's always open to conversations, especially those centered around philosophy. Outside of class, he enjoys reading, playing games, watching television, and creative writing.
Leads Dialogue Sessions for Section 3

Jasmyne Lee
Jas is a junior majoring in Philosophy and Film. They're originally from the unfortunate state of Oklahoma (like the musical) but fled to Connecticut for the snow. Besides philosophy they really like animation, drawing, and bingeing Netflix shows at an alarming rate.
Leads Dialogue Sessions for Section 5

Sofia Leautaud
Sofia is a junior from Mexico City. She is majoring in the College of Letters and is passionate about philosophy in general, but her current favorites are Stoicism and Existentialism. Outside the classroom, she is always happy to grab coffee and talk philosophical conundrums, book recommendations, or whatever sitcom she’s currently watching.

Orlando Osgood
Orlando is a sophomore at Wes from Ossining, NY. Majoring in music and psychology, it's his goal to compose for the theses of all the wonderful theater and film majors who would have him. For now though, his mission is to help any of this philosophy stuff make even the slightest bit more sense, and he's excited to do so!
Leads Dialogue Sessions for Section 4

Tomás Perez
Tomás is a sophomore planning to major in Philosophy and Mathematics. From his natal Santiago, in Chile, his philosophical interests currently involve epistemology and metaphysics. Besides his academic endeavors, he is a coffee enthusiast (read as addict) that enjoys taking walks to calm his blooming thoughts, mostly due to the caffeine excess, as the peripatetics would do.
Leads Dialogue Sessions for Section 2

Tereza Pesmazoglou
Tereza is a senior at Wes. She is from Athens, Greece and is currently majoring in Philosophy and Psychology. She is particularly interested in the effects that Philosophy has on human psychology and the effects of language on cognition.
